Registration terms & conditions

These terms apply to registrations for the Shepparton Running Festival, operated by Fit City Events (ABN 87859843750) at Victoria Park Lake, Shepparton VIC. Last updated 2026.

1. Registration, acceptance and deferrals

• The lead registrant accepts these terms on behalf of everyone in their order.
• Each participant must complete the registration form and pay in full to secure a place.
• Information provided must be true and accurate. We may cancel a registration that is not.
• All payments are in Australian dollars.
• Registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable, except as set out in clause 3.
• If the event is cancelled because of circumstances we cannot foresee, such as a natural disaster, entry fees are not refunded.
• Only Gold Level registrants are eligible for deferrals. Requests must be made at least 14 days before the event, and a deferral can be carried over once, to the same event the following year.

2. Fitness, responsibility and conduct

• You confirm that you are fit and adequately prepared to take part.
• You are responsible for your own health and safety.
• You consent to medical treatment if needed, including transfer to hospital, at your own cost. Ambulance cover is recommended.
• You must follow event rules and the instructions of event staff and volunteers.
• You are responsible for your own belongings.
• Disruptive or disrespectful behaviour may lead to removal from the event and from future events.

3. Event changes and modifications

• We may change the route, schedule or venue for safety or regulatory reasons.
• If the event is rescheduled, registrations move to the new date, with deferral options where applicable.
• Moving to a longer distance: $10 fee plus the difference in price.
• Moving to a shorter distance: $10 fee. The difference in price is not refunded.
• Transferring your place to another person: $10 fee.
• Deadline for race changes and transfers: 12:00pm, Friday 13 August 2027. Requests are managed through your Race Roster account.

4. Waiver and release

• You release Fit City Events and its associated parties from claims arising from your participation.
• Fit City Events is not liable for injury or death during the event.
• Photos and videos taken at the event may be used for promotion, and you grant royalty-free use of them.
• If you consent, your email address may be shared with sponsors.
• Personal data is stored securely so we can communicate about this and future events.
• Event photos can be purchased through Photohawk.

5. Limitation of liability

• You accept the inherent risks of the event, including injury, illness and accidents.
• Fit City Events is not liable for lost, stolen or damaged equipment.

6. Privacy and data use

• Your personal data is protected under applicable privacy laws and used for event management, communication and customer support. See our privacy policy.
• With your consent, data such as your email address may be shared with sponsors and partners for marketing.
• We keep data only as long as necessary and then delete it securely.

7. Code of conduct

• Follow event safety standards, including wearing any required gear, such as a visibility vest, when the organisers ask.
• Please use the designated bins and minimise your environmental impact.
