The 5km race at the Shepparton Running Festival takes runners on a scenic half-loop around Victoria Park Lake before heading across the iconic Goulburn River. Beginning at the lively festival area, participants enjoy lake views as they make their way alongside, eventually crossing over the river on the suspension bridge. The course then loops around the Causeway near the Midland Highway, offering a unique perspective of Shepparton’s riverside landscape. After the Causeway, runners head back towards the lake, with the finish stretch following a lakeside path that brings them into the festival area. With minimal elevation, this course is ideal for both first-timers and experienced runners looking for a fun, fast-paced 5km experience.
